It's Time To Celebrate

Let's Share This Moment Together...

Hello Friend,

Celebration is rarely experienced alone. First and foremost on my heart is to celebrate all those who have partnered in some way with this ministry.

We love the special occasions that surround every day life that make us smile and laugh. We choose to intentionally mark moments, both big and small, with gratitude.  Whether our expression is subtle or extravagant, celebration is a lifestyle!

So much is happening with Furnishing Families that we want to rejoice with you in both the small and "super-sized" ways. Everyone’s gifts are making a difference!

Marriott Mission Accomplished

Last month, we shared with you the story about a New Jersey based company that found us through our website. They were re-furnishing a Marriott Residence Inn in Fort Worth and inquired if we would like to receive the contents that would be cleared out. We said, "Yes!"

Mission Accomplished! We finished this three month project last week. Over the past three months, 125 rooms from 4 floors were cleared out. Furnishing Families received most of the contents including: sectional sofa beds, dressers, night stands, coffee tables, desks, curtains, lamps, art, and televisions. We also connected other Fort Worth community outreach organizations with this project along the way and helped load their trucks, too!

Early on, we partnered with GI-Haul, a Fort Worth based Junk and Waste removal company owned and operated by veterans. They volunteered their time to load our our trucks. On the first day, they helped deliver rooms of items to families who were recently displaced by the conflict in Afghanistan!

We Have Online Updates

There have been changes on our website and social media!

After we entered a sign up form on Facebook & our website earlier this year, we received 75 new followers on our e-mailing list...45 coming from social media. Awesome!

Also, the "Ways To Give" tab on our website now connects you with ways to volunteer, in-kind donation forms if you have items to donate, or the option for an instant giving experience 24/7.

This Month’s Featured Partner

In the spirit of this month’s theme, we celebrate our new friend and partner in ministry Helen Epps, co-founder of Morning Star Prayer Center. Elder Epps carries the joy and the huge vision that creates divine moments and impact worthy of celebration.

If you didn't yet get to see or read about her holiday outreach, check out the last newsletter “LOVE IN ACTION” posted on our website! We are thrilled that we have converged with her calling to ignite community transformation.

Today, we honor this woman of God!

And There's So Much More...

With the momentum of online updates and new systems in place, April is poised to explode with even more demand! Next month, we'll share with you about our very first fundraiser, new amazing stories, and updates on how your contributions are making an impact in North Texas!

Just this year, Furnishing Families of Texas welcomes 65 brand new financial partners. Wow! We celebrate every financial contribution, big or small, because we believe that all are giving unto the Lord! This type of increase has enabled Furnishing Families to increase wage pay to our workers by 10%! This is something I've wanted to do for so long, because we celebrate the hard work of our team!

The more I ponder the word "Celebration," I'm struck with many applications. To verbally celebrate someone's design can do something powerful inside of them. That's our long term goal as we connect with these families, especially single mothers who are struggling with their identity...to connect them with Jesus and affirm who they are in Him!

Celebration can be public or private. I celebrate Jesus in remembering Him when I take communion. I enjoy doing this alone or with other believers. There's something special about both the private and corporate ways of connecting with Jesus in worship and prayer.

As believers, there's so much to celebrate during the peaks and even the valleys of life. We are learning to rejoice in the Lord always!

Thank you again to all who have contributed in some way to this work.

We Celebrate You,

Annabelle and Lance
