Furnishing Families of Texas has a team of amazing people, led by Annabelle Wallnau, committed to helping at-risk families start over with a fully furnished home. We love to talk about the things the Lord is doing every day. Here is more from Andrew:

I remember one day we delivered furniture to a single dad. He had 3 kiddos and I could tell that he was overwhelmed. As we were finishing up, I remember heading to the truck to leave and the Holy Spirit stopped me in my tracks. Without thinking, analyzing or rehearsing I ran back up the steps, asked him if I could pray for him, and just launched into prayer over him and his family. I don’t remember what I prayed but I remember the look in his watery eyes. He had just encountered Jesus through me. This is what we are about, at Furnishing Families of Texas, showing people they are loved, they are not alone, and there is hope.

I don’t know anything about his history or relationship with the Lord, and I didn’t proselytize  him, but I know he knows God is real. I know he saw Jesus because of my obedience. I did my part planting a seed and now it’s God’s job to bring the increase.

Over time, my role has changed and I am doing a lot more video and media work, rather than moving. I am a floater, jack of all trades, and intercessor that fills whatever gap needs to be filled. Most of the time I am on the truck, behind the scenes, behind the camera, not in front. God is using Furnishing Families of Texas to make me a servant. According to scripture, it is through faith and patience we inherit the promises of God. Moving to Texas and working at Furnishing Families is my next step of walking by faith, and patiently waiting while focusing on serving others.

We see miracles happen every day. Whether we lead an entire family to salvation, accept a donation of the exact pieces of furniture we need, unpack an unexpected shipment of free mattresses or see prayers answered in the lives of our co-workers, God is always doing good. Furnishing Families of Texas is honored to partner with the Lord to bless families in need of a helping hand. It is an unspeakable joy to give someone a bed. Join us in serving at-risk families.
